Vaka Teariki Moana
Explore one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons aboard Vaka Teariki Moana, a 27-metre Polynesian-style catamaran designed for comfortable cruising. The vessel features sun loungers on the front deck, free Wi-Fi, an onboard bar offering New Zealand wines, French Champagne, beers, RTDs, soft drinks and snacks. Cash and EFTPOS are accepted. Guests can also enjoy premium rear seating and 360° views of Aitutaki’s big blue lagoon. The vessel is wheelchair accessible and has four bathrooms, two of which include showers. Our tender, Atoro, provides transfers throughout the day.

Frequently asked questions
What time does the tour start and finish?
The flight to Aitutaki departs at 8:00 AM from Rarotonga Airport and returns at 5:30 PM (6:00 PM April–September). Hotel-to-airport transfers start at 7:00 AM.
Can I still book if I don’t know where I’m staying in Rarotonga yet?
Yes. Select a pickup location in the general area you think you’ll be staying, then update your accommodation with us once you’ve booked.
If I have a vehicle, can I drive myself to Rarotonga Airport?
Yes you sure can. Please just be checked in for your flight by 7:40 AM.
Is snorkelling included?
Yes. Complimentary equipment and towels, plus guide assistance.
Can I do the tour if I’m staying in Aitutaki?
Yes, you can book The Vaka Cruise, the 6-hour lagoon cruise. Adults: NZ$299, Children (2–11): NZ$149, Infant (0–4 yrs): Free.
